Robust Verbs- Roses0102

Heroin addicts committing crimes to support their habits is a growing problem in Vancouver. Crime rates are at a high due to the addicts and the program, “free heroin for addicts” program is attempting to stop this epidemic. Daily activities such as jobs, interactions, and relationships are hard to maintain due to the heroin. The addiction takes over, and addicts will do whatever they have to do to get their hands on the drug. The types of crimes committed are breaking and entering as well as stealing, and that’s not the limit they will stop at. The program is targeted towards lowering crime rates, and not improving the well being of the user. By providing the drug, these addicts will be off the streets, which will prevent them from committing minor street crimes, and keep them out of the hospital. Everyday, hospitals deal with users that cannot afford hospital bills and are still majorly addicted to heroin. This program gives people free heroin in the cleanest way possible. In turn, this will fix the city but not the addiction that these people face.
