The Trump Administration Gutting Women’s Health

Conservative politicians are adamant about gutting adequate reproductive care for women, and frankly, it’s inhumane. Women should not be forced to fight in order to gain access to health clinics or reproductive care. Removing a woman’s right to control her body is irrational, although our president doesn’t think so. The Trump Administration and numerous right-wing politicians have women threatened by enforcing their conservative, manly ideologies regarding birth control, expressing that family planning is unnecessary. They have been attempting to cut funding to Title X, which causes healthcare facilities to have to jump through precarious hoops in order to deliver adequate healthcare. The Trump Administration’s big ego has already meddled in the act enough that it has pushed Planned Parenthood out of the funding.

Putting an end Title X removes funds that would leave millions of women without access to affordable preventative reproductive care, wellness exams, lifesaving cervical and breast cancer screenings, birth control, STD testing, and the Trump Administration’s worst nightmare: abortion. Facilities would need to pass through difficult hoops in order to obtain the moneys required for these services. They would not be able to fund pregnancy termination and contraception. It also diminishes the requirement of healthcare providers to explain a woman’s options regarding pregnancy, which adoption, termination, or prenatal care.

Planned Parenthood has been bombarded by these struggles and therefore withdrawn from Title X. A new rule enacted by President Trump forbids referrals to doctors who can perform abortions, and Planned Parenthood did not want to be involved in a program as unethical. Planned Parenthood and many other organizations say the restriction would force physicians and clinics to withhold medical information from patients, would interfere with the doctor-patient relationship and could deny pregnant women the range of options available to them.

Politicians are here solely to serve the public. They are working in order to create safety and prosperity among their citizens. Removing programs that educate, protect, and serve women completely disregard what is important. There is nothing logical regarding the actions of the Trump Administration and right-wing politicians. If they want to keep America secure, women NEED services to efficiently defend their health.
