Within this past summer, vaping related illnesses have surfaced and affected around 215 people. The patients tend to be in their late teens and even early twenties. They walk into the hospitals and doctors offices with complaints of vomiting, tiredness, and shortness of breath. Investigators are now researching to find the causes of these illnesses and to see if any toxins are somehow finding their way into the many vaping products sold to the public. However, Vitamin E is a recurring ingredient found in the vapes which happens to be related to the respiratory issues the patients are enduring. The patients are not much help with finding out what they have been inhaling because they either do not recall what they had, are in denial of the fact that it is making them sick, or they just lack the general knowledge of what they are doing to themselves. To help stop the increase in patients needing treatment for vape related illnesses, the president is stepping in and planning to ban flavored e-cigarettes from the country.
The vaping epidemic has grown out of hand to the point that people are becoming ill with few cases resulting in death. I do not agree with the potential ban of all of these products since some of them are safe for human use. However, there should be a stricter law on these products and especially an advertisement on the boxes to warn consumers that they are harming to the body and could result even in death.
Makes insufficient use of the available evidence to robustly promote a specific point of view. Capable but not exceptional.
